This April 28th marks the 2025 World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Established by the International Labour Organisation (2003), this day promotes the welfare of employees through increasing awareness of safe working conditions and workplace hazards. This event should be on the radar of all who work in construction and related industries.
Many people become acquainted with TCP Training through our White Card course. Students leave the classroom aware of the hazards and risk management on the worksite. But the knowledge well is never dry! The risks and hazards associated with construction are as dynamic as the work itself. Workers can develop their understanding of Asbestos Awareness, Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, and Manual Handling (and so much more) to protect themselves and reduce occupational casualties.
Current or aspiring site managers and supervisors can benefit from primer courses like Construction – Health and Safety in the Workplace. This course fosters an excellent understanding of WHS legislation, ensuring a worksite that not only meets but exceeds the standards for safety. Creating a secure and productive work environment involves every employee’s awareness and active application of intrinsic safety responsibilities, as taught in our Outdoor Worker – Duty of Care for Managers and Supervisors course. Implementing policies on Drugs & Alcohol and embracing LBGTIQA+ Awareness in the Workplace are necessary steps to consider.
The best thing about our online health and safety courses? They have no prerequisites and take up to 45 minutes to complete. Change doesn’t have to be huge - just consistent.
