Alcohol Awareness Month

Alcohol Awareness Month

Dry January may get all the press, but this April is Alcohol Awareness Month. This month emphasizes responsible drinking more than complete sobriety. Alcohol responsibility in the workplace prevents health and safety concerns for you, your coworkers, and your clients. Thanks to our face-to-face and online courses here at TCP Training, alcohol awareness is more accessible than ever.

Obtaining a Responsible Service of Alcohol license is the first port of call for many of our students. Competitively priced, this six-hour course coaches students to refuse service to minors and ensure customers drink within the appropriate limits by identifying alcohol-affected patrons and refusing more drinks accordingly. People are prone to ignoring risks and gambling with their well-being when caught up in the excitement of a night-out, leading to dangerous activity and alcohol poisoning. We ensure all students are altruistically motivated to reduce irresponsible drinking in their community.

Tradies also benefit from Drugs & Alcohol awareness. A significant percentage of annual fatalities result from the effects of alcohol and other drugs. Construction sites require compliance to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards that ensure hazards are identified and investigated appropriately. Students will grasp the reasons an organisation might introduce a drug and alcohol policy and discern how substance misuse adversely affects the workplace and society at large.

Being responsible with alcohol is not limited to our personal lives. As employees, many of us have a duty to instil responsibility in our workplace and those we serve. Our courses are here to help.
