What is a USI number?

A reference number with 10 digital, both letters and numbers. It is used to linked accredited training to your identity.

It is a secure record, free to make and can be made online. It is one for life so if you have already have one, you can search for one here - https://www.usi.gov.au/students/find-your-usi

Do I need a USI number?

Yes, majority of our courses are accredited, and it is a government requirement as of 2018 that all students have one. If you are doing barista you do not need one.

Without one we are unable to issue your certificate and qualification.

If you do not have one on the day of training, you may also be removed from the course.

USI Privacy Policy

You are advised and agree that you understand and consent that the personal information you provide to us in connection with your application for a USI is collected by the Registrar for the purposes of applying for, verifying and giving a USI, resolving problems with a USI; and creating authenticated vocational education and training (VET) transcripts.

Your USI information may be disclosed to various governing bodies when required by law, such as VET Regulators and Admissions Bodies, Commonwelth and State/Territory government departments and agencies, NCVER and any entity contractually engaged by the Student Identifiers Registrar to assist in the performance of his or her functions in the administration of the USI system
