Responsible Service of Alcohol - WA (SITFAB009A)
This one day training is mandatory for persons selling, serving or supplying alcohol in WA.

Duration: 6hrs
Pre-Requisites: There is no pre-requisite for this course.
Who should do this course: Legislation in Western Australia makes the Responsible Service of Alcohol course compulsory for anybody involved in the sale or supply of alcohol on a licenced premises. This includes all staff of bottleshops. New staff employed at a licenced premises have four weeks from commencing employment to complete this training.
Course Content: This course deals with the skills and knowledge requirements for responsible service of alcohol under State/Territory legislation. All staff involved in the service of alcohol should complete this unit. The areas covered include:

Offences and penalties

Acceptable proof of age identification

Standard drinks

Service of alcoholic beverages responsibly

Assisting customers to drink within appropriate limits

Recognising signs of intoxication

Assisting alcohol affected customers

Identification of customers to whom service must/may be refused in accordance with state regulations
Assessment: At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a written assessment.
Outcome: On successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Attainment in “Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol SITFAB009A” as part of Certificate II in Hospitality Operations.
